3 Days Beijing Classic Tour to Great Wall, Forbidden City, Summer Palace & Temple of Heaven

Day 1 Arrive in Beijing (-/-/-)

Beijing Forbidden CityAirport pick-up by our well-trained English-speaking tour guide & private car first, then go straight to Tian’anmen Square and follow with Forbidden City.

Tian’anmen Square is the symbolical heart of China and gathering place for the masses. It is the biggest public square in the world, which can hold one million people. Having a free walk there, imagining the great historic events of the 20th century took place there. You will also see legendary landmarks including the Great Hall of the People and the towering 125 foot granite obelisk, Monument to the Peoples Heroes, honoring those who died in revolution.

Forbidden City, the inner sanctum and palace where for centuries Chinese emperors ruled their world. It has 9000-room maze of courtyards, places, and ceremonial halls, where 24 emperors used to live. Forbidden City was indeed a forbidden place, where commoners were kept out for nearly 500 years in the past. Tour the palace and imagine the mystery, intrigue and incredible power that reigned here.

Day 2 Beijing (B/L/-)

Great Wall of ChinaHotel pick-up at 8:30am then drive to the Beijing Great Wall (Mutianyu Section), enjoy a local lunch at noon. After having lunch, drive back to the city and visit the Summer Palace. Transfer back to your hotel by 17:00.

The Mutianyu Great Wall is known for its beautiful surroundings - dense woods and rich pastures changing colors with the seasons of a year. This section of the Great Wall is about 75 KM from the center of Beijing. As one of the best-preserved parts of the Great Wall, Mutianyu section of Great Wall used to serve as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs. If you want to reach the highest point, cable car is a good choice (optional).

Summer Palace, is the greatest imperial garden in China. Built in 1888, it was once a summer retreat and the imperial for emperors. Have a lakeside cruise on the lovely Kunming Lake, enjoy the magical views of the hills, bridges and pagodas that grace the Palace grounds.

Day 3 Beijing / Departure (B/L/-)

Temple of HeavenHotel pick-up in the morning (based on your timetable). Visit the Temple of Heaven where the emperors worshipped for the harvest.

Temple of Heaven, is the place where the emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties worshipped heaven and prayed for good harvest.

Enjoy your lunch before being transferred to the airport/ railway station to catch your flight/train to your next destination.
