We are just back from our 8-day tour of Yunnan.  It was so so fantastic.  We really enjoyed ourselves.  The arrangements were great and I don`t think I have ever had such an easy relaxing time on a vacation - it was definitely worth every cent of the cost.  Thank you for looking after us.  Everything went so well.
 
Thank you for all of your hard work in putting that tour together.  Our 4 guides were amazing.  Richard was the first guide in Kunming.  He is such a kind and gentle soul.  He looked after us like a mother would look after children...
I was worried that we wouldn't get another guide as good as Richard but Tony met us at the airport in Xishuangbana ... He looked after us very well also and got us to all the sights in and out of the city.  He toured us around and had great knowledge of the area.  So I guess I didn't really have to worry after all. 
 
Our next guide in Dali was Amy.  Amy is a lovely, talented and very spirited young woman who captured both of our hearts but especially mine because she is a farm girl (and I was also raised on a farm) and really showed us around the farm areas and markets in Dali.  Our hotel in Dali was also our favourite hotel on the entire tour.  We said good-bye to Amy with tears in our eyes before we drove to Lijiang with Mr. Li.  We will certainly miss her and we hope to get to see her again some day. 
 
Mr. Li, our driver in both Dali and Lijiang is a very competent and patient man.  He drove us all around Dali and waited patiently at every stop that Amy took us to and then he drove us to Lijiang through the worst possible traffic jam you could imagine.  He never complained though and then went on to drive us all around Lijiang and to Tiger Leaping Gorge and so on. 
 
My favorite guide (Dao You) on the whole tour was Lee (our guide in Lijiang).  She is such a friendly, conscientious, charming and funny young woman.  We absolutely loved her.  She was so knowledgeable about the history, culture and language of the area.  She would make a great teacher.  I felt so comfortable around her and really enjoyed spending time with her.  She became our friend.  I will miss her and I hope we get to see her again some day. 
 
So, there you have it - a wonderful trip that we will remember for a long long time.  Thank you again for all your work Zoe.  WE WILL DEFINITELY BE CALLING YOU AGAIN TO BOOK MORE TOURS IN THE FUTURE.  Bye bye for now.
