Kunming, Dali, Lijiang airport

Yunnan becomes a more and more interesting and attracting tourism destination to both domestic and abroad tourists. When tourists travel in Yunnan, the most convenient way getting in should be by air. Generally, most of tourists by air getting in Yunnan; the first stop is Kunming, which is the capital of Yunnan. And then take plane or other means of transportation from Kunming the other cities of Yunnan. Therefore, Kunming Wujiaba International Airport is the largest airport transfer station of Yunnan province.

Kunming Wujiaba International Airport (KMG)

At present, Kunming Wujiaba International Airport (KMG) is the largest airport in Yunnan and a gateway to China for many South-east Asia countries. Kunming International Airport have the directly flights to most of the major cites both domestic and southeast Asia countries. So you can take plane to Yunnan from the most of China cities, including Hong Kong and Taiwan, and southeast of Asia countries.

Kunming to Shanghai (takes about three hours, except Wednesday), 
Kunming to Xi’an (takes about 2hours)

Dali Airport (DLU)

Dali as one of the most important tourists’ destination in Yunnan, Dali also has its own airport-Dali Airport (DLU).

Lijiang Airport (LJG)

Getting in and out of Lijiang, the most convenient way is by air. Lijiang airport also has daily flights reached Kunming (about 50 minutes, price of air ticket CNY1, 050 without tax), Xishuangbanna (about one hour, price of air ticket CNY1, 130 without Tax) and the direct flights to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Shenzhen and Guiyang.

Diqing Airport (DIG)

The Shangri-La is a place blessed with beautiful scenery, clear water, majestic snow mountain and inhabited friendly people. Nowadays, it attracts lot of people travel around it. At 1997, the government of Diqing prefecture began built Diqing (Zhongdian) Airport and completed in 1999. At present, Diqing Airport has flights reached to Kunming (daily flights, takes about one hour, price of air ticket CNY 1, 110 without tax), Chengdu (about a half and 2 hours, the price of air ticket) and Lhasa (about one hour and a half).

Xishuangbanna Airport (JHG)

At the southernmost place of China, Xishuangbanna is also a popular place for tourists. The airport of Xishuangbanna is located in Jinghong city. At present, in Yunnan province, Jinghong Airport (JHG) is next to Kunming Wujiaba International Airport. It has both domestic and international routes. For the domestic flights, except flight to Kunming, the flights also reach Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Chengdu, Chongqing, Guiyang, Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Nanning, Wuhan, Urumqi, Lijiang, Dali, Shangri-La, Zhengzhou and Changsha and so on. The international flights can reach Bangkok, Chiengmai, Vientiane and Luang Prabang.
