Day 1 Kunming / Dali / Shaxi (-/-/-)
Transfer via: flight arrive Kunming on your own arrangement
Meet you at the Kunming Changshui Airport (KMG) and transfer you to Kunming railway station for the overnight train to Dali.
Day 2 Dali / Shaxi (B/L/-)
Upon arrival, be met by private car & tour guide and transfer to Shaxi.
Shaxi was a bustling trade station on the Tea and Horse Caravan that linked Yunnan and Tibet with Southeast Asia for tea and horse trading. The World Monuments Fund has listed Shaxi as one of the 100 most endangered sites in the world because of its historical importance as the only surviving example of a Tea & Horse Caravan trade center.
Day 3 Shaxi (B/L/-)
Full day free time enjoy yourself in Shaxi Ancient Town, famous Bai minorities house or walk into the village .
Day 4 Shaxi / Shibaoshan / Shaxi (B/L/-)
Today we’ll pay a visit to Shibao Mountain Temple Complex, which is located in a rolling valley at the far end of Shaxi. Shibao Mountain is a scattering of spiritual sites, shrines and temples that has served as a place of worship and spirited, spiritual discussion for centuries. The buildings are in good shape and the complex is large enough to easily take up an entire day. Notable sites include statues of Indian sages along the climb up to the temple complex and a Yoni Shrine, a cleft in the Cliffside that bears a striking resemblance to the holiest of holies and enjoys a constant flow of cool mountain water. Drive back to Shaxi in the afternoon.
Day 5 Shaxi / Dali / Departure (B/L/-)
Transfer via: TBA-flight on your own arrangement
This morning will drive back to Dali and then transfer you to the airport for catching your flight to your next destination.
